Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Debt Administrator on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the debtors’ book, ensuring accurate records, and efficiently collecting outstanding payments to support the financial health of the business.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate and/or a relevant Accounting qualification
• 1–2 years’ experience in a debt collection environment

Advantageous:

• Experience in debt collection within a pharmaceutical environment

Job Specification

• Open and maintain customer accounts in line with standard operating procedures
• Perform accurate ITC checks prior to account approval
• Allocate daily customer payments to the correct accounts
• Report customer complaints and account irregularities to management
• Generate and review weekly debtors age analysis reports
• Communicate with customers to confirm outstanding balances and secure payment commitments
• Maintain detailed records of all customer correspondence and interactions
• Update and manage accurate customer master data
• Reconcile debtor accounts and resolve outstanding queries
• Monitor age analysis to ensure debts remain within acceptable timeframes
• Conduct monthly follow-ups with customers to collect outstanding balances
• Address customer disputes and ensure timely resolution of all account queries
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines
• Comply with health and safety regulations
