Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the CDE department in Linbro Park. The role focuses on providing technical support through the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and coffee equipment, ensuring adherence to quality standards and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Purpose
Provide technical services to the Equipment Services division and stakeholders by installing, maintaining, and repairing beverage equipment while ensuring high-quality standards, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Installation and Maintenance
- Install and remove fountain and hot beverage equipment
- Service, repair, and maintain beverage machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Test and calibrate equipment before final assembly
- Ensure all work aligns with SHEQ systems and complies with safety, health, and environmental standards
- Manage personal development and performance
Daily Activities
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction during installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Manage spare parts and apply precise hand-eye coordination
- Apply advanced assembly and mechanical skills
- Use conceptual and problem-solving skills to handle situational challenges
- Follow HACCP and food safety standards
- Maintain personal accountability and ensure all work aligns with SHEQ requirements
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or N3 in Refrigeration/Electrical
- Registered Trade Test in Refrigeration
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in refrigeration, vending, or fountain equipment maintenance and repairs
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (Code 10 advantageous)
Other Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record
