Job Overview
The Hybrid Sales Consultant is responsible for sourcing and selling armed monitoring and response agreements, alarm system upgrades, CCTV systems, electric fences, and related security solutions to new and existing customers. This role focuses on achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets while building strong, long-term client relationships.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or equivalent
- Proven sales experience with a track record of success, preferably in capital goods sales
- Knowledge of intruder detection systems such as IDS and DSC advantageous
- PSIRA Grade C registration advantageous
Key Requirements and Attributes
- Self-motivated, energetic, and target-driven
- Strong selling, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- Computer literate (MS Office, email, internet)
- Presentable and of sober habits
- Valid driver’s license and reliable own vehicle
- Aptitude for electronic and technical equipment, including alarms and monitoring platforms
- Ability to generate new business independently
Key Responsibilities
- Source and close self-generated sales deals
- Follow up on leads received internally and via telesales
- Sell security solutions to new and existing clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with estate agents, builders, architects, and other key stakeholders
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly on sales activity and performance
- Maintain all administrative duties related to sales
- Motivate self to achieve and exceed sales targets consistently
Performance Standards
- Achieve revenue and new client acquisition targets
- Maintain high standards in client relationships, particularly with estate clients
- Ensure all leads and quotes are followed up in a timely manner
