Value Vacancies – Project Manager

Project Manager – Purpose of the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the hands-on management and delivery of projects, with a thorough understanding of project scope and alignment to operational requirements. This role ensures projects are executed efficiently to achieve defined outcomes and timelines in support of the Logistics division and related business units.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end projects, including process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with IT and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Drive measurable business outcomes using structured project management methodologies
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines
  • Estimate project durations and resource requirements
  • Apply appropriate project management frameworks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Allocate tasks, roles, and responsibilities to project team members
  • Monitor project progress and report on project plans and status
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders and escalate risks or issues proactively
  • Ensure tasks are completed on schedule and project objectives are achieved
  • Manage project administration, including meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, action items, and distribution
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure proper record keeping and filing
  • Engage with stakeholders and provide timely updates and feedback

Project-Related Analysis and Delivery

  • Perform operational analysis to support project outcomes
  • Analyse and evaluate business and operational processes
  • Gather, document, and manage business requirements
  • Record and present analytical findings and recommendations
  • Develop process documentation, workflows, and solution-oriented materials
  • Draft process maps, flows, and implementation documentation
  • Conduct research required for system application and solution implementation

General Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties related to project execution
  • Maintain organised work practices and general housekeeping standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management is advantageous
  • PMI certification preferred (CAPM or PMP)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management
