Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team. This role will partner with regional leadership to drive cost optimisation, enhance financial governance, provide actionable insights, and support strategic business decisions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Regional Cost Optimisation

  • Partner with regional leaders to conduct bi-monthly cost reviews
  • Identify overspend risks and implement corrective action plans
  • Achieve a minimum 3% reduction in controllable costs year-on-year

Financial Forecasting

  • Produce and present twice-monthly cost forecasts
  • Ensure variances to budget are within a 2% band
  • Enable senior leaders to make informed, proactive decisions

Governance and Control

  • Lead quarterly RACM self-assessments and track corrective actions
  • Close 95% of identified control gaps within target timelines
  • Maintain a strong control environment

Variance Analysis & Margin Insights

  • Compile monthly income statement variance reports and margin analyses
  • Provide insights for total CCBSA and individual channels
  • Highlight actionable pricing or mix opportunities quarterly to improve profitability

Budgeting and Consolidation

  • Coordinate the annual budget process, issue templates, and consolidate functional inputs
  • Benchmark against peer regions and deliver final regional budget
  • Ensure variance to prior year revenue and cost is no greater than 5%

Stakeholder Financial Capability

  • Develop and roll out financial training modules for line managers
  • Achieve a 90% “competent” rating across regional leadership teams within six months

Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Asset Controls

  • Oversee quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and surprise stock-counts
  • Resolve 100% of long-outstanding reconciliations and variances by period-end

Team Leadership and Talent Development

  • Manage and mentor regional finance staff
  • Ensure 100% on-time delivery of monthly reports
  • Support at least one internal promotion or succession placement annually

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

  • BCom (Honours) in Accounting or Financial Management (required)
  • CA(SA) or CIMA certification (advantageous)
  • Additional postgraduate qualification (MBA, Postgrad Diploma) beneficial

Experience

  • 8–10 years’ progressive financial management experience, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods
  • Proven experience in regional budgeting, cost control, and governance implementation

Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex models, pivot tables, macros)
  • Proficiency in ERP/financial systems and budgeting platforms
  • Expertise in variance analysis, margin management, and financial reporting
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to develop training materials and build financial acumen across non-financial teams
  • Leadership experience in coaching, mentoring, and talent development
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and objectivity in handling sensitive data
