Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the CDE department in Ermelo. The role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and coffee equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Purpose
Provide technical support and services to the Equipment Services division and stakeholders through the installation, maintenance, and repair of beverage equipment, maintaining high-quality standards and promoting customer satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Installation and Maintenance
- Install and remove fountain and hot beverage equipment
- Service, repair, and maintain beverage machines to ensure operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve situational problems effectively
- Conduct equipment testing and calibration to meet quality requirements
- Ensure all work complies with SHEQ systems and safety, health, and environmental standards
- Manage own performance and development
Daily Activities
- Deliver high customer satisfaction through installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Manage equipment spare parts with precision and apply strong hand-eye coordination
- Apply advanced assembly and mechanical skills to complex equipment
- Use conceptual skills to assess and resolve technical issues
- Understand and apply HACCP and food safety principles
- Maintain personal accountability for work quality and safety compliance
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or N3 in Refrigeration/Electrical
- Registered Trade Test in Refrigeration
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in refrigeration, vending, or fountain equipment maintenance and repairs
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (Code 10 advantageous)
Other Requirements
- Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record
