Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the CDE department in Hendrina. The role involves providing technical support through the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and coffee equipment, ensuring quality standards are met and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Purpose
Provide technical services to the Equipment Services division and stakeholders by installing, maintaining, and repairing beverage equipment while adhering to quality, safety, and customer service standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Installation and Maintenance
- Install and remove fountain and hot beverage equipment
- Service, repair, and maintain beverage machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
- Conduct equipment testing and calibration before final assembly
- Ensure all work aligns with SHEQ systems and complies with safety, health, and environmental standards
- Manage personal development and performance
Daily Activities
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction for installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Manage spare parts and apply strong hand-eye coordination
- Apply advanced assembly and mechanical skills
- Demonstrate conceptual problem-solving abilities
- Understand and apply HACCP and food safety standards
- Maintain personal accountability for work quality and compliance with SHEQ requirements
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or N3 in Refrigeration/Electrical
- Registered Trade Test in Refrigeration
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in refrigeration, vending, or fountain equipment maintenance and repairs
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (Code 10 advantageous)
Other Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record
