Job Description
Pepkor is looking for a highly skilled Snr Full Stack Developer to support, enhance, and innovate across our multi-faceted technology platform and third-party integrations. This role will leverage your expertise to solve complex technical problems, design robust architectures, and deliver high-quality front-end and back-end solutions. You will collaborate closely with Solutions Architects, Team Leads, and other cross-functional teams while mentoring junior developers to ensure efficient, scalable, and secure software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex technical challenges across multiple teams and technology stacks.
- Support and enhance established platforms and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Team Leads to deliver business requirements.
- Provide accurate work estimates based on technical and business analysis.
- Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve development and production issues.
- Ensure all changes are unit and integration tested, documented, and optimized for performance benchmarks.
- Assist with out-of-hours production releases and provide support when necessary.
- Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Design client-side and server-side architecture for scalable applications.
- Build visually appealing front-end applications.
- Develop and manage databases, applications, and APIs.
- Test software for responsiveness, efficiency, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software solutions.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate data-driven features.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 8–10 years’ experience in software development.
Technical Skills
- Cassandra or other NoSQL databases.
- Graph databases and related technologies.
- Apache Spark.
- JSON REST services and API development.
- Apache Kafka or other message queue/middleware.
- Notebook environments (e.g., Jupyter).
Advantageous Skills
- C# .NET Core development.
- Identity Server authentication.
- Cloud-native architecture.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- Azure DevOps.
- Redis and RabbitMQ.
