Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist at FlySafair Careers is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment processes while building strong talent pipelines to support organisational growth. This role partners closely with hiring managers to deliver effective, compliant, and timely recruitment solutions aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Advertise vacancies across careers platforms, job boards, and professional networks
- Proactively source candidates using multiple tools and channels to build sustainable talent pools
- Screen applications and CVs, providing timely communication to candidates throughout the hiring process
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and pre-screening to interviews, background checks, and offers
- Ensure interviews are scheduled and coordinated effectively in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Administrator
- Maintain accurate candidate databases and track recruitment metrics to support continuous improvement
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with recruitment strategy execution
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with labour legislation and company policies
- Provide administrative support to the talent acquisition team, managing confidential information with discretion
- Stay informed on recruitment trends and best practices to enhance sourcing and selection strategies
- Build and maintain talent pools through networking, headhunting, and proactive engagement
- Facilitate offers and pre-employment processes to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Communicate assessment requirements, including psychometric and simulator evaluations, where applicable
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and deliver fit-for-purpose recruitment solutions
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop interview questions and assessment materials
- Provide regular recruitment progress updates to hiring managers
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- 3–5 years’ experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, preferably within an internal recruitment environment (essential)
- Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies under tight deadlines (essential)
- Strong sourcing expertise and candidate engagement skills (essential)
- End-to-end recruitment lifecycle knowledge (essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems
- Knowledge of HRM practices and procedures
- Understanding of relevant labour legislation, including BCEA, EEA, SDA, and Codes of Good Practice
