Sales Representative – Value Logistics

Purpose of the Job
The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and growing key customers in the Free State region, including spaza shops, forecourts, and wholesalers. This role focuses on building strategic customer relationships, driving sales and margin growth, and managing debtor accounts to ensure timely payments and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit new customers within the assigned region, meeting monthly and quarterly acquisition targets
  • Maintain and grow the existing customer base to achieve sales volume and margin growth objectives
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships through regular engagement and high satisfaction levels
  • Manage customer credit, ensuring debtor days are within agreed limits and on-time payment targets are achieved
  • Conduct regular customer visits and calls, including order-taking and promoting new product lines
  • Monitor, record, and report customer feedback to management for continuous improvement
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve queries within agreed turnaround times
  • Execute business strategies, including marketing campaigns and promotional activities, and track performance against objectives

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales
  • Proven track record of success as a sales representative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and mobile sales tools
