The Packaging Machine Specialist is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing plant machinery and associated devices to maximize plant availability and product quality while minimizing costs, without compromising standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Planned Maintenance

• Participate in maintenance planning meetings, providing input and clarifying work requirements
• Ensure maintenance backlog meets minimum hours and schedules are reviewed regularly
• Execute tasks during planned maintenance windows according to the schedule issued by the planner
• Support team members in completing maintenance tasks
• Contribute to post-maintenance reviews to share learnings and identify improvement opportunities

Routine Maintenance

• Perform ATO cleaning, lubrication, and inspections as per the maintenance schedule
• Address issues uncovered during routine maintenance using appropriate problem-solving techniques
• Communicate additional work requirements to the Maintenance Planner for inclusion in planned maintenance schedules
• Conduct condition monitoring activities assigned in accordance with the ZCM schedule

Problem Solving

• Apply correct problem-solving approaches to resolve issues identified during routine maintenance
• Assist team members with technical challenges upon request
• Contribute as a functional expert in AB-Report, SDCA, and PDCA processes

Housekeeping and Safety

• Operate safely at all times and identify unsafe work practices for correction
• Follow work instructions and comply with AB-InBev policies and procedures
• Perform housekeeping tasks and apply 5S principles during duties
• Present 5S plans to the team and management as required
• Raise and close SIOs related to assigned machine areas

Running Repairs

• Support running repairs on plant and equipment or assist Shift Artisans as needed
• Assess issues and determine appropriate actions, involving specialists or external resources when required
• Escalate major repairs, such as motor rewiring, to the engineering workshop
• Verify the effectiveness of running repairs and complete related SAP administrative tasks
• Communicate unresolved repairs to the Maintenance Planner for inclusion in the next planned window

• Strong problem-solving skills on FMCG machines
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge and train operational staff
• Coaching and mentoring skills on ATO and 5S principles
• Ability to optimize usage and reduce wastage with permanent solutions
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
• Strong self-management and technical communication skills
• Knowledge of basic and advanced problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, AB Reports, SDCA, PDCA)

Minimum Requirements

• N6 or higher qualification
• Mechanical or Millwright qualification
