The DOCUMENT TECHNICIAN is responsible for the effective operation of the PDM system, including document capture, updating, and auditing, ensuring alignment with quality and operational standards across the brewery.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive quality awareness across the site
  • Serve as owner of training needs analysis (TNA) for quality management system competence
  • Support non-conformance management and ensure proper closure
  • Assist in planning, development, and implementation of the Quality Management System
  • Align document control objectives with overall business strategy
  • Implement and maintain quality management processes
  • Act as site champion for document and record keeping, ensuring PDM is managed according to SAP configuration
  • Ensure all documentation, including work practices, is current and accurately reflects operational processes
  • Motivate personnel to take accountability for document management within their areas of responsibility
  • Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, standard operating practices, and site-specific policies for document control and records
  • Plan and manage internal and external audits related to documentation and records

Key Attributes and Competencies

  • Sound knowledge and experience of food safety systems and standards
  • Strong computer literacy and interest in data management
  • Good understanding of AB-InBev manufacturing processes and philosophies
  • Experience in integrating and facilitating multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Results-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence

Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Sciences or equivalent
  • Three-year related tertiary qualification
  • Three to five years’ experience in quality assurance with solid understanding of systems and brewery processes
  • Previous auditing experience is advantageous
