To implement effective sales and marketing initiatives that drive sustainable growth through strong customer partnerships, commercial excellence, and disciplined in-trade execution.
Skills and Competencies
Commercial Aptitude
- Understanding of the sales and marketing value chain and how roles work together
- Ability to gather and apply competitor insights to strengthen selling effectiveness
- Sound understanding of profitability, pricing, product mix, and merchandising

- Strong commitment to meeting customer needs and building long-term relationships
- Ability to collaborate with customers on plans and decisions
- Proven capability to build authentic relationships across diverse customer groups

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Execution and Customer Development
- Identify customer needs, resolve issues, and manage challenges in real time
- Build and manage relationships with tavern owners
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen partnerships and resolve concerns
- Achieve sales volume and outlet performance targets
- Ensure consistent weekly purchasing directly from SAB
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer master data
Selling Skills and Planning
- Identify opportunities, present value propositions, and close sales effectively
- Establish rapport, understand customer needs, and secure commitment
- Plan, organize, and prioritize sales activities efficiently
- Execute detailed plans to exceed customer expectations
AMPPS Delivery
- Deliver against AMPPS standards: Availability, Merchandising, Price, Promotions, and Space
- Influence and complete AMPPS surveys through disciplined execution
Merchandising, Pricing, Promotions, and Space
- Ensure full availability of key brands and packs through effective planning
- Manage stock rotation to maintain product availability and quality
- Execute merchandising standards in line with In-Trade Execution Guidelines
- Negotiate and implement price communication and promotional activities
- Monitor competitive shelf space and ensure optimal brand positioning
Asset Management
- Manage SAB refrigeration and in-outlet assets in line with governance and audit standards
- Ensure correct stocking of SAB products in refrigeration units
- Conduct asset verification surveys
- Support customers with stock management systems to minimize stock-outs
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree
- Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license
- Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Office experience
- Strong local area knowledge
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Successful completion of a driver’s assessment prior to appointment
