We are seeking a Khula Financial Adviser to provide professional financial advice, planning, and solutions to new and existing clients. This role focuses on growing sustainable business, maintaining long-term client relationships, and delivering advice and products tailored to client needs—all in a compliant and ethical manner.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth
- Support the marketing and distribution strategies to grow the Sanlam adviser business.
- Apply market segmentation and customer profiling to drive sales and revenue.
- Achieve revenue and activity targets, including single and recurring premiums.
- Promote the Sanlam brand and apply Treating Customers Fairly principles in all client engagements.
Networking, Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Create business opportunities through face-to-face, social, and business interactions.
- Prospect new clients via networks, associations, presentations, and social media.
- Convert trusted relationships into business relationships and strengthen existing client ties.
- Mine the existing client base to identify sales opportunities and market gaps.
- Implement targeted campaigns and request ongoing referrals and leads.
Client Consultations & Sales
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and financial needs analysis for clients.
- Provide sound financial planning advice and solutions aligned with client goals.
- Present recommendations professionally, ensuring compliance and proper disclosures.
- Review client portfolios annually and adjust plans as required.
Client Service
- Maintain ethical, courteous, and professional interactions with all clients.
- Address client queries promptly and provide value-added service to enhance client loyalty.
- Build long-term client relationships and maintain a relational focus.
- Continuously update knowledge, skills, and market awareness to serve clients effectively.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Document and report client interactions, appointments, consultations, and issued business.
- Maintain accurate client records and update systems as required.
- Report on activity, workflow, and revenue targets on a weekly and monthly basis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements met and regulatory examination completed.
- Registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for at least 24 months.

- Financial advice, planning, and client relationship management.
- Production target achievement and business growth strategies.

- Ability to provide tailored financial recommendations.
