The Santam Direct Call Centre is inviting applications for Sales Adviser (Talent Pool) positions. Successful candidates will join our talent pipeline and be considered for future vacancies as they arise within our Cape Town and Johannesburg teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the Direct Sales team.
• Handle inbound and outbound sales calls, identifying client needs and recommending tailored insurance solutions.
• Adhere strictly to Quality Assurance processes, compliance standards, and internal sales procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to client requests and follow-ups.
• Manage productivity effectively, attending to leads with the goal of quoting and closing sales.
• Work under pressure while maintaining high standards and following workforce schedules.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in Short-Term Insurance.
• Valid Regulatory Exam Certificate and Short-Term Insurance FAIS credits.
• Experience with personal and/or commercial insurance products.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proactive, energetic, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, sales-focused mindset with a passion for helping others.

Specific Requirements

• Probationary period of three (3) months, consisting of:
  • Six (6) weeks of training followed by a knowledge assessment.
  • On-the-job evaluation measuring progress against set targets.
