Role Purpose
The Fleet Safety EHS Coordinator will drive the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of fleet safety operations to ensure compliance with PepsiCo’s Fleet Safety Program and all relevant legal requirements. This role promotes a culture of safe driving and supports organizational EHS objectives across fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Safety Management
- Develop, implement, and manage a Fleet Management System to optimise safety and efficiency.
- Establish a driver onboarding system, including training and assessment of safe driving practices.
- Maintain Fleet Safety dashboards and provide visibility of site-level Fleet Safety KPIs.
- Update and enforce EHS procedures through the Global EHS Management System (GEHSMS).
Compliance & Incident Management
- Investigate and report EHS incidents related to fleet operations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct fleet safety inspections, internal audits, and support external EHS audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulations including OHS Act, NRTA, and other relevant EHS requirements.
Training & Awareness
- Deliver driver training programs on safe driving, regulatory requirements, and emergency response procedures.
- Analyse fleet safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with departments to promote a safe driving culture and implement fleet safety initiatives.
- Lead fleet safety awareness campaigns to enhance engagement and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an EHS Coordinator.
- Diploma or Degree in EHS, Fleet Management, or related field, with Grade 12 as a minimum requirement.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations (OHS Act, NRTA, and other applicable EHS regulations).
- Ability to analyse and interpret EHS and fleet safety data to inform improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
