Role Purpose
The Sales Supervisor will oversee and drive the performance of van sales representatives, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, route execution, and customer satisfaction. This role focuses on coaching, business development, and embedding a customer-focused sales culture to maximise profitability and market growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and coach van sales teams to enhance sales capability, performance, and discipline.
- Conduct daily Gate Meetings to review performance, execution, and KPI achievement.
- Provide in-market coaching to sales representatives and conduct individual visits with customers to address specific issues.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with the training team on critical business skill development.
Market Execution & Business Development
- Ensure 100% outlet coverage within assigned routes.
- Drive business growth through proactive development of customer base and execution of internal and external business development strategies.
- Align teams to strategic directions and adapt to changing market conditions to increase market share.
- Attend meetings as required to support commercial objectives and customer engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-year Business or Commercial Tertiary qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the FMCG environment, including at least 1 year in a sales or selling role.
- Valid driver’s license.
