Job Overview
The Hybrid Sales Consultant is responsible for generating and closing sales of armed monitoring and response agreements, alarm system upgrades, CCTV systems, and electric fences. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, maintaining strong customer relationships, and consistently exceeding monthly sales targets.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or equivalent
- Proven sales experience with a track record of success, preferably in capital goods sales
- Knowledge of intruder detection systems such as IDS and DSC advantageous
- PSIRA Grade C registration advantageous
Key Requirements and Attributes
- Self-motivated, energetic, and target-driven
- Strong selling, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- Computer literate (MS Office, email, internet)
- Presentable and of sober habits
- Valid driver’s license with reliable own vehicle
- Ability to source and generate new business independently
- Aptitude for electronic and technical equipment including alarms and monitoring platforms
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and close self-sourced sales deals
- Follow up on internal and telesales leads
- Sell security solutions to new and existing clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with estate agents, builders, architects, and other key stakeholders
- Maintain all sales-related administrative duties
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on sales activities
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
Performance Standards
- Meet and exceed revenue and new client acquisition targets
- Maintain high-quality relationships with existing estate clients
- Ensure timely follow-up on all leads and quotes
