Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ working knowledge of WMS CargoWrite.
• Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a Supervisory or Team Leader role.
• 1–2 years’ experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.

Job-Related Requirements

• Proven experience in stock control, inbound, outbound, and returns processes.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse workflows and the investigation of stock discrepancies.
• Sound understanding of inventory management principles.
• Ability to plan, organize, lead, control, and monitor warehouse activities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to manage and achieve internal and individual KPIs.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, regulations, work instructions, and operational procedures.

• Ability to work extended or after-hours when operationally required.
• Capability to plan, prepare, and execute daily workloads and allocate tasks to staff.
• Ability to compile operational data and produce performance, progress, and investigation reports.
• Initiate and manage disciplinary actions when required.
• Ensure full site compliance with SHERQ standards, including health and safety, environmental, and facility risk management.
• Ability to lead, train, performance-manage, and develop team members, with working knowledge of Industrial Relations processes.
• Ability to cope with stress and perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Warehouse Operator, Team Leader is responsible for leading, coordinating, and controlling inbound and outbound warehouse operations to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee outbound operations for all clients within the facility.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze operational reports aligned with KPIs and contractual requirements.
• Investigate operational issues and complete corrective and preventive action documentation where required.
• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
• Provide daily operational reports to management.
• Monitor staff attendance and productivity.
• Support operations in other departments as required by operational demands.
• Oversee and manage special projects as assigned.
• Recognize and reward positive employee performance while addressing poor conduct through appropriate disciplinary processes.
• Ensure compliance with 5S standards and SPQRCE principles.
• Effectively manage conflict within the team.
• Conduct regular floor walks to monitor health and safety compliance and staff performance.
• Motivate and lead the team to achieve daily operational targets and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, plan work activities, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure all client-specific KPIs and quality system requirements are consistently met.
• Maintain daily communication with management regarding progress, challenges, and operational risks.
• Support hands-on warehouse activities when required to meet operational demands.
• Build and sustain high team morale to ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service.
