About the Program
Truworths is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will oversee daily operations of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate invoice processing, reconciliations, payment execution, month-end close, and effective team management. This role is critical in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining process compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Accounts Payable team, ensuring high performance and team development.
• Oversee accurate and timely processing of all invoices and review GL coding for correctness.
• Manage weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Review and approve supplier reconciliations and resolve vendor-related queries.
• Ensure timely Accounts Payable month-end close and adherence to KPIs.
• Liaise with procurement, banking, IT Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure process efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT Finance to enhance system effectiveness and escalate issues appropriately.
• Support internal and external audit processes as required.
• Ensure all supplier and internal queries are resolved within the permitted timeframes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric plus a Finance qualification.
• 3–5 years of Accounts Payable supervisory experience in any Accounts Payable stream.
• Strong experience with Oracle Financials.
• Experience in a retail finance environment advantageous.
• Proven supervisory experience and ability to work within a team dynamic.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
