About the Program
Truworths is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Risk and Analytics team at Head Office in Cape Town. This role focuses on leveraging extensive data and insights to develop customer strategies that drive profit while operating within defined constraints. You will enhance company performance by providing analysis, reports, and technical support for the development and implementation of strategic solutions, drawing on a broad range of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts to design, build, and track credit and loyalty optimization strategies that drive profit within Board-defined constraints.
• Collaborate across departments to identify opportunities, evaluate their potential, and establish testing frameworks to determine the most effective strategies for business rollout.
• Present new strategies, expected outcomes, and recommendations to the Board and senior executive management.
• Project manage the implementation of strategy changes into live systems.
• Apply coding and analytical skills relevant to retail environments.
• Utilize predictive models to balance costs with revenue and optimize profit.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Business Science or Commerce degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in retail credit, ideally with store card exposure.
• Hands-on experience building predictive models such as credit scorecards, marketing response models, propensity models, or machine learning models.
• Proficiency in analytics programming languages (SAS, Python, R) highly advantageous.
• Experience applying predictive models to strategic frameworks and mathematical optimization is highly valued.
