Job Overview
The Packer – Epping Oats Plant is responsible for supporting packing operations by ensuring products are correctly packed, labeled, and prepared for distribution. This role focuses on maintaining product quality, verifying packaging accuracy, and ensuring that all packing activities comply with company quality and safety standards. The position reports directly to the Manufacturing Co-Ordinator and plays an important role in maintaining efficient and organized packing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and check the printer to ensure it is operating correctly and producing accurate labels.
• Inspect packed products to confirm they meet presentation and quality standards.
• Check pallet conditions before use to ensure they are suitable for stacking and transport.
• Verify and record bag weights manually to ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Ensure the correct product barcode is used during the packing process.
• Confirm that barcoded products are wrapped neatly and securely.
• Stack pallets carefully to maintain straight and stable pallet loads.
• Inspect wrapped products to verify packaging integrity and ensure products are properly secured for handling and distribution.

Qualifications

• Minimum NQF Level 4, Grade 12, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience working in a similar packing or production environment.
• Basic understanding of health and safety standards within a manufacturing or production environment.
