Job Overview
The Organizational Change Manager is responsible for leading and managing change initiatives that have high complexity and cross-functional impact across the organization. This role focuses on ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives by planning, coordinating, and overseeing change processes while minimizing disruption to business operations. The Organizational Change Manager works closely with project teams, business leaders, and stakeholders to assess impacts, build change capabilities, and drive adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management Leadership
- Serve as a key member of project teams and lead the change management workstream for major initiatives.
- Plan, implement, and oversee organizational changes to ensure business goals are achieved with minimal disruption.
- Apply structured change management methodologies, tools, and practices to support successful transformation initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to business leaders to ensure effective execution of change initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Develop and deliver a compelling case for change that motivates teams and aligns employees with the future vision of the organization.
- Engage with leadership teams to ensure alignment on the value, impact, and expected outcomes of change initiatives.
- Ensure leaders actively support change adoption and guide their teams through the transition.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication strategies to create awareness, understanding, and adoption of new initiatives.
Change Impact and Risk Management
- Conduct change impact assessments to identify operational, structural, and behavioral changes resulting from new initiatives.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address risks and manage the impact of change effectively.
- Establish and manage a network of Change Agents to support implementation and adoption across business areas.
Training and Capability Development
- Coordinate and support training initiatives that equip employees with the knowledge and skills required to operate effectively after implementation.
- Strengthen organizational change management capabilities by coaching and enabling business leaders and initiative owners.
Monitoring and Measuring Change Success
- Define change readiness indicators and key performance metrics to measure the organization’s readiness for change.
- Monitor progress, identify potential barriers to adoption, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Define and track business performance indicators following implementation to evaluate the success of the initiative.
- Analyze data trends and root causes affecting adoption and performance outcomes.
- Extract meaningful insights from data to support decision-making and improve change management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, Consulting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, communications, or project management roles.
- Proven experience delivering organizational change initiatives across multiple business units.
- Experience with transformation programs or IT implementation projects is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to secure leadership alignment and support.
- Advanced communication skills including presentations, written communication, and multimedia messaging.
- Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and relationship management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong internal consulting skills and the ability to influence across a matrix organizational structure.
- Ability to anticipate challenges, understand broader business implications, and proactively address issues.
