Sales Representative – Value Logistics Vacancies

Purpose of the Job
Value Logistics is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to promote and sell Value Services, with a focus on Value Truck Rental and cross-selling other services including Linehaul, Value Equipment, Fridge Fleet, Freightpak, Warehousing, Clearing and Forwarding, Moving Billboards, and Express. The role aims to grow the client base, strengthen relationships, and drive revenue across multiple service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Gather detailed information on clients’ transport, distribution, and expenditure
• Evaluate potential business opportunities and apply focus strategies (G, S, B)
• Understand competitors and market dynamics within your area
• Build strong customer relationships and establish trust
• Identify client service requirements and provide accurate quotes for Value Services
• Grow existing accounts by understanding clients’ businesses and cross-selling additional services
• Close sales deals effectively and target national accounts
• Be knowledgeable of client contracts and ensure services provided meet current customer needs
• Understand clients’ businesses to identify opportunities for growth
• Add value to every client interaction with clear objectives for each visit
• Ensure service levels meet Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain frequent contact with key business decision-makers
• Keep product knowledge up to date
• Identify and resolve client queries such as invoice issues, claims, or PODs promptly
• Project a professional image at all times
• Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures
• Submit sales and activity reports accurately and on time
• Meet team expectations, sales budgets, and targets
• Assist with additional tasks or duties as reasonably requested by management, aligned with organizational objectives

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Proven experience in a sales environment
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans

• Ability to apply various sales techniques effectively based on the situation
• Strong capability to identify and understand customer needs within assigned territory
• Excellent time management skills
• Customer relationship management expertise
• Knowledge of risk management principles and ability to make independent decisions regarding risk outcomes
