Overview

The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving growth, reducing attrition, and managing strategic relationships with key customers and communities. This role focuses on maximizing sales, profitability, and market share while ensuring strong brand visibility and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and sell community security solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers to decrease attrition and improve customer retention.
  • Create and execute marketing plans to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Manage schemes through regular communication, formal meetings, and proactive relationship building.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms with key customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders including SAPS, Community Watches, CPFs, and forums.
  • Attend community events and SAPS/CPF meetings to ensure brand presence.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and local data to identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance, customer satisfaction, and provide insights for product and marketing strategies.
  • Strategize and address obstacles to ensure goals are consistently achieved.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or customer management.
  • Proven success in developing and managing key customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in the consumer goods or security industry is advantageous.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and committed to quality and excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible and extended hours as required.
