Introduction

Clicks Group Careers is seeking a dynamic and customer-driven Shop Assistant / Cashier X1 to deliver exceptional in-store service. This role focuses on efficient point of sale (POS) operations, accurate transaction processing, and maintaining merchandising standards to ensure every customer enjoys a positive shopping experience.

Job Objectives

As a Shop Assistant / Cashier X1, you will:

• Execute all point of sale operational activities accurately and efficiently
• Scan merchandise and process payments with a high level of accuracy, including the application of clubcard rewards
• Ensure safe and responsible handling of cash at all times
• Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and enroll new members to achieve participation targets
• Inform customers about promotions and special offers to drive sales and enhance value
• Provide outstanding customer service by acting as a brand ambassador who is visible, friendly, and professional
• Maintain merchandising standards and ensure excellent housekeeping in line with store and visual merchandising guidelines
• Support the company’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by upholding company values
• Stay updated on product ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers

Knowledge Requirements

• Basic mathematical skills
• Retail or FMCG experience with an understanding of merchandising and promotional principles
• Knowledge of stock management procedures
• Strong understanding of customer service excellence
