Introduction

Clicks Group Careers is looking for a customer-focused and energetic Shop Assistant / Cashier to deliver service excellence in-store. This role is responsible for efficient point of sale (POS) operations, accurate transaction processing, and maintaining merchandising standards to ensure a seamless and positive shopping experience.

Job Objectives

As a Shop Assistant / Cashier, you will:

  • Execute all point of sale operational activities efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure precise scanning of merchandise and correct collection of payments, including processing clubcard rewards
  • Maintain strict cash handling procedures to safeguard company assets
  • Promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and actively enroll new members to achieve participation targets
  • Inform customers about promotions and special offers to drive sales and enhance value
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, remaining visible, approachable, and professional
  • Maintain merchandising standards and ensure excellent housekeeping in line with store requirements
  • Support the company’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living the company values
  • Stay informed about product ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate and helpful information to customers

Knowledge Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Retail or FMCG background with an understanding of merchandising and promotional principles
  • Knowledge of stock management procedures
  • Strong understanding of customer service excellence
