About the Role
Value Logistics is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead and manage projects across the logistics division, ensuring timely delivery and measurable business outcomes. This role requires a hands-on approach, full understanding of project content, and alignment with operational objectives, while collaborating closely with IT, operations, and other relevant divisions.
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and administration of projects, ensuring that outcomes are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage and oversee projects, including operational improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure successful project completion
- Apply structured project management methodologies to achieve tangible business outcomes
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules
- Estimate project timelines and allocate tasks effectively
- Assign roles and responsibilities for project tasks and monitor progress
- Report on project status, timelines, and milestones
- Communicate project progress to stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and objectives are met
- Administer project logistics including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and distributing action points
- Maintain detailed project records and ensure proper filing
Project Analysis & Documentation
- Conduct analysis and operational assessments to support project outcomes
- Gather and document business requirements for project initiatives
- Investigate and document operational processes and workflow improvements
- Prepare process documentation, flowcharts, and solution-oriented reports
- Conduct mandated research to inform project application and implementation
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
General Administration
- Perform general administrative duties related to project coordination
- Maintain organised workspaces and adhere to housekeeping standards
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management beneficial
- PMI certification preferred (CAPM or PMP)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management

- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Computer literacy, including project management tools
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Proficient in reporting and documentation
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
