Job Description

Overall Purpose:
The Technical Supervisor will manage and maintain quality within Fidelity Secure Drive, resolve customer-related issues, and ensure superior service and technology standards. The role contributes daily to the mission of delivering high-quality solutions to clients and partners, exceeding expectations in every interaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Resource & Operations Management

  • Manage and maintain all allocated resources, including vehicles, tools, and stock.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and adherence to traffic regulations.
  • Safeguard and service all tools; monitor and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Ensure devices and cell phones are operational and data usage is monitored.
  • Maintain uniform standards in line with PSIRA guidelines.

Technical & Onsite Support

  • Perform hardware installations, repairs, and maintenance of tracking systems to the highest quality within set timelines.
  • Assist with fitments, technical evaluations, and implementation of OEM and specialized fitment techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain fitment quality and provide product support both onsite and remotely.
  • Attend to client and technical queries promptly and effectively.

Administrative & People Management

  • Perform daily administrative tasks, including filing, database updates, and record keeping.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to technicians as required.
  • Develop personal skills through training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and hygiene standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric certificate.
  • Driver’s License (Code B).
  • Clear criminal record.
  • PSIRA Grade C certification.
  • Trade test in motor electrical electronics or similar preferred; Auto-electrician qualification advantageous.
  • 6–10 years’ experience in the fitment of vehicle tracking equipment.
