Spar Vacancies – Accounts Receivable Controller

Introduction

The Accounts Receivable Controller based in Jet Park is responsible for ensuring effective control of the debtor’s book, minimising overdue accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with retailers.

Key Performance Areas

• Resolve retailer queries efficiently and maintain excellent retailer relationships
• Collect outstanding balances on problematic overdue accounts
• Ensure timely processing of journals and EFTs
• Manage and control customer queries effectively
• Conduct account reviews and reassessments
• Handle payment allocations accurately
• Recruit, train, and manage Accounts Receivable Clerks
• Provide training and guidance to Members
• Report on overdue accounts and claims regularly

Minimum Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Matric certificate or equivalent; related tertiary qualification advantageous
• Minimum 3 years’ credit control experience; 2 years supervisory experience advantageous
• Knowledge of legal aspects of credit control in FMCG advantageous
• Financial accounting and analysis skills
• Intermediate Excel proficiency; SAP experience advantageous
• MS Office literacy
• Strong query resolution skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player, self-motivated, and analytical
• Valid Driver’s Licence with the ability to drive
