Spar Vacancies – ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER)

Introduction

SPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager for its Distribution Centre in Olifantsfontein. The role supports the Senior Accounts Receivable Manager in credit management for the division.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal collection and handover of overdue accounts
• Ensure proper execution of the credit approval process
• Conduct credit reviews for new and existing accounts
• Maintain effective systems to manage customer queries
• Oversee the outstanding claims process
• Ensure strict compliance with Credit Policy and relevant legislation
• Promote healthy inter-departmental relationships
• Facilitate financing applications and analyse store feasibility studies
• Manage and lead staff effectively
• Provide weekly reports to executives
• Perform weekly audit checks
• Monitor and manage credit limits

Minimum Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Matric certificate and relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ credit management experience in a commercial FMCG environment, including legal collections
• Strong knowledge of legislation, including FIC Act, National Credit Act, Companies Act, and Insolvency law
• Financial accounting analysis and reconciliation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Team player with assertiveness and accuracy
• Advanced computer literacy (Excel, SAP, AS400 advantageous)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
