PEOPLE SUPPORT (HR) PRACTITIONER

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The People Support (HR) Practitioner will support and coordinate the talent, culture, and engagement portfolios, including recruitment and selection, organisational design, and initiatives that strengthen culture and employee engagement across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Management

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
  • Coordinate psychometric assessments and all related administration
  • Compile and maintain accurate talent and recruitment reports
  • Act as custodian of job descriptions, ensuring ongoing relevance and governance
  • Support performance management and succession planning processes
  • Coordinate and prepare talent data for talent review sessions

Culture

  • Conceptualise, design, and coordinate culture initiatives across all countries
  • Develop and manage culture-related communication content
  • Design and coordinate annual Wellness Days and related activities across all countries
  • Support annual culture survey initiatives and related actions

Employer Branding & Internal Communications

  • Support storytelling, content coordination, and reporting to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging
  • Create and manage engaging internal communication content that connects employees, celebrates impact, and drives alignment
  • Leverage digital tools to strengthen employer branding and internal communications

General

  • Support ad hoc tasks and participate in projects as required for business needs and development exposure

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources or Talent Management role
  • Working knowledge of labour legislation, including BCEA, EE, and related frameworks
  • Advanced English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including Google Workspace
  • South African citizenship
  • Willingness to travel within Africa

Advantageous

  • Registration as an Independent Psychometrist with the HPCSA
  • Retail industry experience
