Key Responsibilities
Sales Delivery
- Provide sound financial advice and high-quality client service within the branch.
- Understand clients’ financial goals and recommend suitable products to meet their needs.
- Continuously update clients on new or changed products and manage the implications for their portfolios.
- Validate client information in line with product and regulatory requirements.
- Submit new business through the appropriate channels and conduct due diligence to identify potential risks.
- Manage daily appointments while accommodating walk-in clients effectively.
In-Branch Client Service and Retention
- Service and manage client profiles to ensure retention.
- Send payment reminders, follow up on queries, and provide ongoing client support.
- Monitor clients Not Taken Up (NTUs) and take corrective actions where needed.
- Maintain client payment persistency to benefit both clients and the branch.
- Gain insight into client risk profiles and proactively provide support.
- Advise clients on alternative payment arrangements and ensure proper processing.
- Apply product knowledge to guide clients through policy cancellations or alternative options.
- Resolve branch queries or escalate according to the existing framework, providing continuous feedback to clients.
Quality, Compliance and Continuous Development
- Adhere to compliance, regulatory, and quality standards at all times.
- Maintain FAIS compliance and CPD points.
- Identify risks and flag potentially fraudulent activities.
- Keep detailed records of advice and log activities according to SOPs and regulations.
Planning and Reporting
- Report daily activities using relevant technology platforms.
- Collate data to meet weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.
- Support the Retail Branch Manager with ad-hoc requirements as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 1-year experience in sales or marketing; insurance branch experience advantageous.
- Matric (Grade 12).
- RE5 qualification advantageous.
- FAIS compliance for Wealth Management (as per DOFA requirements).
- Class of Business training to be completed within 12 months of employment.
