Job Purpose

• Support the Butchery department by preparing, handling, and merchandising products to ensure quality, service, and operational standards are met.
• Assist customers professionally while promoting products and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process Butchery products according to laid-down standards
• Store, handle, merchandise, and promote all Butchery products
• Listen to customer requests, provide required products or services, advise on product options, and handle customers courteously
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards within the department
• Wrap products and operate scales accurately
• Maintain and organise backup areas
• Be customer-minded by seeing situations from the customer’s perspective and responding positively
• Display passion for the product by enjoying its preparation and enthusiastically promoting it
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently
• Communicate effectively by listening attentively, responding appropriately, and speaking clearly
• Work as a team player, cooperating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals
• Seek opportunities for self-development and continuous improvement
