Trainee Bakery Manager – Pick n Pay Careers

Role Purpose
Manage resources effectively to maximise turnover and minimise losses while ensuring full compliance with company standards, processes, and policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Minimum of 2 years’ bakery supervisory experience advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising Management

• Ensure product availability and attractive presentation in line with merchandising standards
• Maintain display quality and stock rotation according to food safety guidelines

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards at all times
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and SOPs

Customer Services Management

• Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries professionally
• Ensure consistent product quality and availability

Staff Management

• Support supervision, training, and motivation of bakery staff
• Assist with staff scheduling and performance management

Administration

• Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks
• Support stock control, ordering, and wastage management

SAP System Utilisation

• Use SAP to manage stock, orders, and reporting in line with procedures
