Education

• Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 3)
• NQF Level 2 Bakery Skills Training
• Relevant bakery or baking qualification or certification

Experience

• Proven bakery experience
• Previous experience in a Bakery Supervisor or Manager role

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Bakery Department
• Plan and manage daily production to meet customer demand and sales targets
• Schedule staff to ensure effective coverage and productivity
• Order, receive, and control stock in line with company procedures
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and housekeeping
• Train, coach, and motivate staff to achieve performance standards
• Implement ongoing training and development initiatives
• Monitor and control wastage to maximise profitability
• Ensure consistent product quality and availability

• Willingness to work flexible and irregular hours
• Proven supervisory and people management skills
• Strong customer service focus with a track record of excellence
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Strong administrative capability
• Sound numeracy skills

Assessments
