Main Purpose of the Role

The Mobile Driver / Data Capturer ensures safe transportation of staff and outreach teams, manages the mobile clinic or work vehicle, and supports logistics operations such as loading and unloading equipment. Additionally, this role assists with data capturing and reporting of outreach activities to support programme monitoring and evaluation.

Key Performance Areas

Transport and Logistics

  • Safely transport staff to outreach sites and office locations.
  • Manage the mobile clinic or work vehicle, ensuring it is well-maintained and fuelled.
  • Maintain accurate fuel, mileage, and maintenance records.
  • Load and unload field equipment, including chairs, tents, and generators.
  • Report vehicle damages and adhere to road safety regulations.
  • Follow Anova’s vehicle policy and submit weekly inspection checklists.

Outreach Support

  • Support the outreach team during activities by providing youth-centred information, self-care advice, and risk reduction strategies.
  • Assist Human Rights Ambassadors in educating communities on GBV, PrEP, and sexual and reproductive health (SRH).
  • Link HIV-positive clients to care and support ART initiation.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and quality control standards.
  • Manage HTS supplies and ensure proper storage.

Administrative Support

  • Complete and submit client data daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor data to meet outreach targets.
  • Perform delegated administrative tasks while maintaining professionalism.
  • Build and maintain relationships with health facilities to facilitate client linkage.
  • Submit timesheets on time.

Data Capture and Management

  • Follow SOPs for data management and quality processes.
  • Pre-retrieve client folders for efficient data capture.
  • Capture client information into electronic medical records systems.
  • Conduct routine data audits and generate reports on key indicators.
  • Participate in data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Use electronic records to generate and action line lists for patient and programme management.
  • Maintain proper filing and data management systems.
  • Ensure compliance and confidentiality in handling staff access and client information.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence with PDP.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ driving experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
