Role Purpose
The Sales Agent is responsible for driving sales of Value Added Products (VAPS) by upselling to both existing and prospective MiWay clients. The role focuses on maximising every lead or call received, maintaining high daily and monthly productivity levels, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
The Sales Agent ensures accurate data capturing, provides relevant product information, and utilises tools such as predictive dialling systems to effectively engage clients and close sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound telesales to promote and upsell Value Added Products
- Engage existing and new clients to identify sales opportunities
- Optimise every lead and call to achieve sales targets
- Handle inbound client queries and service requests professionally
- Accurately capture and update client information on relevant systems
- Maintain high levels of productivity and performance in a target-driven environment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and accreditation standards
- Provide clear and accurate product information to clients
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 / NQF Level 4
- RE5 Certificate (in line with DOFA requirements)
- STI FAIS Credits (as per DOFA requirements)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year call centre sales experience
- Previous short-term insurance experience
- Experience selling Value Added Products in a target-driven environment
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Strong time management skills and self-discipline
