Job Description
We are seeking a talented SEO & Content Specialist to conceptualise, write, edit, and publish high-quality, SEO-optimised copy across multiple digital platforms. This includes website pages, social media posts, email campaigns, and e-commerce product content. The role focuses on driving organic traffic, improving search visibility, and delivering content that aligns with marketing objectives while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop SEO-optimised copy for websites, social media, email campaigns, and e-commerce product pages.
- Drive non-branded organic ranking and traffic growth across multiple platforms.
- Ensure content relevance and on-page optimisation for all catalog pages, serving both users and search engines.
- Apply Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques through compelling copy to turn browsers into buyers.
- Create original, high-quality digital content that engages customers and reduces bounce rates.
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GA4) and refine outputs based on insights.
- Support brand and marketing teams with trend-relevant creative writing ideas for digital campaigns.
- Write, edit, and proofread brand announcements and responses across relevant channels.
- Collaborate with brand, digital, and e-commerce teams to develop and manage content calendars for timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities for new topics and content formats based on competitor analysis and emerging industry trends.
- Maintain adherence to style guides and act as a guardian of brand tone and quality.
- Deliver advisory input for SEO strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimisation.
- Contribute to the annual brand, digital, and e-commerce content plans.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Post-matric qualification in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or Data Analytics.
- 3–5+ years’ experience writing for high-volume e-commerce or online retail environments.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or BrightEdge for keyword research and gap analysis.
- Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to monitor rankings and content performance.
- Familiarity with enterprise Content Management Systems (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento/Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, including H1-H6 hierarchies, meta tags, alt text, and schema markup.
- Experience in advanced search strategies such as search intent mapping, topic clustering, and competitor gap analysis.
- Background in conversion optimisation, including A/B testing and heatmaps (e.g., Hotjar).
- Proven ability to collaborate with merchandising, brand, and development teams to align SEO with commercial priorities.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Experience with generative AI workflows for content creation.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, organisational, and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Strong relationship management skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
